Daniel L. Nelson
Founding Partner

Daniel L. Nelson

Admitted to the California State Bar in 1990, Daniel L. Nelson built his career defending as many as 25 major insurance companies before turning to advocate for the injured. That inside knowledge of how insurers value — and undervalue — a claim now drives every case the firm takes. He has served as a Commissioner for the State Bar of California and is a longtime member of the California Trial Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association.

Daryl G. Crouse
Partner

Daryl G. Crouse

Daryl Glenn Crouse co-leads the firm's trial practice alongside Daniel L. Nelson, overseeing and managing every case directly and shaping strategy for each client's maximum recovery. He handles the full arc of a matter — from pre-litigation investigation through trial — and is admitted to the California State Bar (2014) and the District of Columbia Bar (2021). Before law, Mr. Crouse spent more than 25 years as a small-business entrepreneur; in 2004 he advocated for regulatory modernization of FCC rules governing telecommunications relay services. He is fluent in American Sign Language, which allows the firm to serve Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing clients directly — a population too often turned away elsewhere.

A Resource for the Injured

Why we ask every client to keep a pain journal.

After an injury, the days blur. A simple daily record is one of the strongest pieces of evidence you can bring to a case, and one of the easiest to start. Download our free journal, fill in one entry a day, and let the record speak for you.

Turns invisible suffering into evidence.

Pain and suffering are real damages, but they leave no mark a jury can see. A day-by-day record makes lived experience visible and weighs it properly in your claim.

Same-day notes beat later memory.

Months from now the bad days will blur together, and insurance companies count on that. Entries written the same day are far more credible than trying to recall.

It guides your medical care.

Patterns, triggers, and flare-ups become visible. Share entries with your doctor so treatment decisions rest on facts, not guesses.

It readies you for deposition.

When defense counsel asks how pain limited your life, you answer in specifics drawn from your own record, not from a fading memory.

It preserves the worst days.

These are the days that matter most in your case, and the first to fade. A journal keeps them from being lost or minimized.

Download your free Daily Pain Journal.

A printable 30-day journal, ready to fill in by hand and bring to your appointments. No sign-up, no email required.
